Artificial Intelligence in Action: Case Studies in the Classroom

On June 25–26, 2025, a project meeting for ChatToCaseStudy (Project No. 2024-1-BG01-KA220-HED-000249361), funded under the Erasmus+ Programme, was held at Democritus University of Thrace – Kavala Campus, Greece, with the participation of representatives from all partner organizations. The meeting focused on the detailed discussion and further development of the ChatToCaseStudy methodology for applying AI tools in case-based learning in the fields of cybersecurity and data analytics.

At the core of the discussions was the development of a methodology aimed at educators, designed to facilitate and improve the effectiveness of formulating prompts for an AI chatbot. These prompts will generate a variety of learning activities based on real-world case problems, aligned with different cognitive levels as defined in Bloom’s Taxonomy.

The methodology will enable educators to:

  • Create high-quality and relevant instructions for learners to solve case studies, based on the cognitive levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy (remembering, understanding, applying, analyzing, evaluating, creating);
  • Engage students in interactive learning and the development of practical skills with the support of an AI chatbot.

The ChatToCaseStudy project aims to transform computer science education by providing educators with innovative tools and approaches, and offering students a dynamic, interactive, and real-world-oriented learning experience. The next phases of the project include the development and pilot testing of the AI chatbot and validation of the methodology in the partner higher education institutions.
