DIGITRANS Project, financed under the EU Danube Transnational Programme, was presented during the SMART CITIES International Conference, 2018

The 6th international Exhibition & Conference for South-East Europe “Smart Cities” (https://viaexpo.com/en/pages/smart-cities) took place in the InterExpo Centre on 27-29 March 2018, Sofia Bulgaria.

The “Smart Cities” event brought together the leading companies, working in the field of interactive information systems for transport, buildings, education and healthcare to more than 200 visitors. It was a meeting point for different partners and distributors from the region of South-East Europe.  Companies from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Denmark, Italy, Spain, Lithuania, Poland, Turkey, the Netherlands and Sweden were among the exhibitors.

The topics, covered were related to new urban technologies: the digital infrastructure system for citizens and integrated services like intelligent energy, water, waste and resource management. Special attention has also been paid to issues related to digital transformation training as a key prerequisite for the sustainable business development in South East Europe.  

The project DIGITRANS was presented there on a special track.

During the discussion, different cooperation opportunities for developing new business models were identified, bringing more efficient, ecological and cost-effective solutions for every industry, municipality or home.
